Enjoy a drive through the Tijuca Forest, one of the largest urban forests in the world in the heart of the Rio de Janeiro city.
The park has a diverse fauna and flora with many trails, caves and rocks. It has well known attractions such as the Christ the Redeemer and the the Parque Lage. We will start our tour with a stop at the Vista Chinesa lookout point, see the hangliders and paragliders flying over São Conrado beach and then drive to the other section of the forest where the Taunay waterfall is located.
You will have a chance to take a walk and observe the different vegetation and animals in the area.
A local guide and transport are included.
After hotel pickup from your centrally located Rio de Janeiro hotel, you'll head to the Tijuca Forest and enjoy a ride through what is considered one of the largest urban forests in the world.
You will then stop at the Vista Chinesa lookout point and, if the weather is good, you can see the hang gliders ramp at Pedra Bonita. Enjoy the amazing view of São Conrado beach and the city. Continue your tour towards the other section of the Tijuca forest where you can take the students trail to to the Waterfall Taunay (Cascatinha Taunay). The waterfall is the tallest one in the park with 35 meters of high.
