Tijuca Forest Half-Day Hike
A half-day hike guided tour in Tijuca Forest National Park, one of the biggests urban rainforests in the world. Our experienced guides will take you in an amazing adventure hiking up one of the most stunning summits in Rio. You'll visit Pedra Bonita (696m=2283ft) a popular lookout in the Tijuca Rainforest with amazing views to the coastline of the city and a view to Gavea Rock, the flat 'table mountain' in Rio that provides incredible picture opportunities. During the tour you'll experience the nature and the feeling of being in the tropical rainforest. In addition to the fun and adventure our team will provide information and curiosities about the flora and fauna, like monkeys, quatis and toucans, that may appear on the way.

8 to 9:00 - pick-up from hotel (South Zone are of Rio only)(*1)
9 to 9:30 - drive to Tijuca National Park
9:30 to 10:00 - tour guide speech about history of Rio, Brazil and the Tijuca Rainforest
10 to 10:50 - Hike to the top of Pedra Bonita (elevation gain 521m=1709ft, peak height 1.021m=3349ft)
10:50 to 11:30- Rest, fun, pictures and snacks (*2) at the summit
11:30 to 12:10 - Hike back to the starting point
12:10 to 1:30pm - drive back to the city/hotels drop-off(*3)

(*2) - Snacks/drinks/water are NOT included - please take ready-to-eat snacks and water (about 2 liters/person)
