Brazilian Live Music at Lapa
Rio Scenarium is considered to be one of the best 10 bars in the world by the British newspaper “The Guardian”. This is no ordinary bar; it’s a 3 floor live music venue, showcasing the best Brazilian sounds. It’s also notable for its unique decor, with antiques and retro curiosities from top-to-bottom. The Scenarium has more than one show every night!
The host will come to meet you at the hotel, before taking you to the Lapa neighborhood. Your booking will be confirmed before being taken to your reserved table. Rio Scenarium, in Rio’s Old Town, serves as a live venue, as well as a bar and restaurant. It brings together an impressive array of furniture and curiosities, collected throughout its history, with over ten thousand pieces in total. If you like, your host will take you on a tour of its floors to take a closer look. Together you can arrange your way back to the hotel, at a time that best suits you, with a maximum duration of 3 hours for the experience, starting from the moment you enter the venue. Your host will be on hand to guide you through the menu, answer any questions, or give you any other explanations you need. You can also choose if you would like the host to join you at the table or not during the experience.
The musical line up is authentically Brazilian, with styles ranging from samba, choro, MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) to forró. Rio Scenarium puts on two shows on the main stage Monday to Thursday, with three shows on Fridays and Saturdays. Another option is the Anexo Room, which offers a more private environment and DJ sets. There you can also find chorino groups, samba sessions, and even rock music; there truly is a varied line up. The price of the experience only covers admission and table reservation. A table at the front row of the show can’t be guaranteed. Shows consist solely of music and not dance performances.
